Honestly: no partnerships yet
CaboVerde360 is designed as an affiliate/partner site - meaning the structure for future partner links is already in place in some spots (e.g. buttons for "Hotels," "Flights," "Rental Cars" or "Activities"), some marked with a "* Affiliate" note. Currently, however, these links are not connected to any real, active partner programs - no commissions are currently being earned, and this site generates no revenue. We wanted to be transparent about this rather than suggest a partnership that doesn't exist yet.
Monetization is planned for a later point, once traffic and search visibility have been built up. Once real partner programs are integrated, we will update this page with the specific partners and expand the Privacy Policy to cover the tracking mechanisms used at that point.
How we will label links
Once real affiliate links are active: every affiliate link will be clearly labeled as such, for example with a "* Affiliate" note directly on or next to the link, regardless of whether a commission actually results. Technically, such links will carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, as recommended by Google for paid/commission-based links.
What an affiliate link means (once active)
An affiliate or partner link leads to an external provider (e.g. a booking platform for hotels, flights, rental cars or activities). If a booking results from it, we receive a commission from the respective provider. This results in no additional cost to you as a user - the price stays identical to booking directly with the provider.
Independence of editorial content
Even after partner programs are activated: whether and how an island, hotel type or provider is mentioned in our editorial content does not depend on whether a partner program exists for it. Fact-checks and assessments remain independent of any potential commission payments.
